SPEED SURVEY
Speed Survey
A speed survey measures vehicle speeds on a specific road to assess compliance with speed limits, evaluate road safety, and support traffic management decisions. It helps identify areas with excessive speeding, informs infrastructure planning, and monitors the impact of traffic changes. Speed surveys also address public concerns and ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
We use precision pneumatic and radar speed detectors to record the speed of motorists. Our speed surveys comply with the Standards for Highways CA185 formerly TA22/81.

SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY
When conducting work within the community, many local residents enquire about the work we are performing. This generally manifests into a productive discussion about the areas’ perceived problems. The main concern from residents is generally speeding.
Many people we have encountered have gone on to request speed surveys from us hoping to challenge development proposals, raise issues with the local authority and campaign for permanent speed solutions.
We can gather the speed data via conventional Pneumatic ATCs, Radar ATC’s and mobile speed guns.
With consultation from a transport planner and speed data from us, residents can hopefully have meaningful action taken to improve their community.
