LEVEL CROSSING STUDY
Level Crossing Studies
Level crossings delay studies can be conducted using various camera equipment. By assessing the times between trains and the length of times gates stay closed this can provide invaluable data for proposed new developments within the area. With this survey type we can also provide data on vehicle queue lengths to really understand the impact on local traffic.

CASE STUDY
TRAIN DELAYS
Our client was interested in assessing the downtime of gates at a level crossing to determine what kind of delay this would have on a nearby development. It was thought that if the gates are down for several minutes, traffic could start queuing past newly built houses and spoil the quality of life.
We captured the gate downtime with video cameras over several days to ascertain the minimum, maximum, and average wait times, etc.
The report was supplied with the accompanying footage to support the findings.
